Humpback Hydro Inc. launches research collaboration with University of British Columbia (Okanagan) Engineering Department to advance its pioneering long-duration energy storage and water solution                                                                        

VANCOUVER, November 10, 2021 – Humpback Hydro Inc., creators of the award-winning Humpback Hydro pump storage hydro technology, announces its collaboration with University of British Columbia (Okanagan) Engineering Department, led by Dr. Joshua Brinkerhoff (Associate Professor and Interim Associate Director, Research and Industrial Partnerships).

This comprehensive capstone project creates a dynamic synergy between industry and academia to identify how and where to optimize the potential of Humpback Hydro’s technology in regions around the world. Engineering students with a range of specific interests and specialties have taken on this unique 8-month research project and will provide critical answers to developing multiple versions of the company’s energy storage platform. This data will assist the company in advancing goal to bring a viable, faster transition to renewable energy globally and to answer the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Goals for energy, water and food scarcity due to climate change.
